  • Medical and dental insurance for full-time employees and dependents
    • The city pays 100% of the employee medical and dental insurance premiums (the employee is responsible for any dependent coverage, monthly premium is a payroll deduction)
  • Life insurance for employees provided by the city
  • Worker’s compensation insurance
  • Membership in Texas Municipal Retirement System (TMRS)
    • The city matches 5% employee contributions at a rate of 2:1; vesting period of five years
    • The city has Supplemental Death Benefits 
  • Vacation leave

  • 12 paid annual holidays; 1 is Personal Day (Floating) Holiday, available to full time employees, in good standing,  employed for six months or longer, approved in advance by Department Head.  

Personnel Manual
City Council adopted Resolution 445, the Personnel Policies for the employees of the City of Granite Shoals, on May 13, 2014.   On August 11, 2015, they amended the Personnel Policies with Resolution 491. On November 29, 2016, the City Council readopted the employee manual with seven modifications, as Resolution #518.   View the Policies here
