Parks Advisory Committee
The Parks Committee actively organizes and leads numerous workdays throughout the year, during which members and community volunteers come together to maintain and enhance the city’s parks. These workdays serve as hands-on opportunities to clean park grounds, improve landscaping, and evaluate the condition of park facilities to ensure safety and functionality.
These volunteer-driven events are open to all residents, and community participation is strongly encouraged as a way to foster civic pride and shared responsibility for public spaces. In addition to workdays, the Parks Committee holds regular monthly meetings to review park conditions, plan events and improvement projects, manage committee business, and make recommendations to the City Council as needed. These meetings are open to the public to encourage transparency and community involvement.
