The City of Granite Shoals is inviting high school students to take part in a hands-on civic leadership experience through our Youth Advisory Committees. This is your opportunity to make a real difference in your community while gaining valuable skills for your future.

Airport Advisory Committee
Help Shape the Future of Our Local Airport
Are you a high school student who’s curious about aviation, engineering, or public service? Here’s your chance to take flight—literally! The Airport Advisory Committee works with City Council and local pilots to make real improvements at the Granite Shoals / Bob Sylvester Airport (2G5). From designing safer flight zones and new helipads to organizing community “Meet the Pilots” events, your voice can help guide the airport’s next chapter. Wildlife Advisory Committee (WAC)

Are you a high school student into wildlife biology, environmental science, or public policy? Step into a role where your work actually shapes how Granite Shoals manages its whitetail deer population. Parks Advisory Committee

As a Youth Advisor, you’ll help plan and lead volunteer workdays that keep Granite Shoals parks safe, clean, and fun.
