Waste Management (WM) will implement a rate adjustment for its services starting December 1, 2024. The new rate for trash, recycling, and bulk/bundled brush collection will rise from $29.58 to $30.54 per residential unit per month.

This rate adjustment, reflecting an increase of 3.23%, is based on the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for garbage and trash, as well as the Department of Energy's index for diesel fuel in the Gulf Coast region.

Rate increases for services may be driven by several factors, including the need to accommodate rising internal and third-party disposal, processing, and transportation costs, as well as increased expenses due to uncontrollable circumstances.
