Permits, Zoning, and Building
If you would like to consult an official zoning map or inquire on zoning standards, start with by consulting resources available on website. Granite Shoals Code of Ordinances is available online, consult Chapter 40 for Zoning. If you wish to discuss business development, plats or replats, please contact the Building Official's Office at 830-598-2424 x714.
Our Building Official reviews all plans for residential construction, remodeling, additions, and new commercial and tenant change outs. We provide support for the citizens of the City of Granite Shoals and inspect their construction to make sure it meets minimum building codes.
For all of your development questions, please email building@graniteshoals.org.
Purchasing Property
Before you purchase a piece of property, you are encouraged to consult with the personnel in the development office to discover any zoning issues that may exist. Also, be aware that existing water service is NOT available at all lots in the City of Granite Shoals but available through water line extensions which will paid for by customers.
Taking time to research all amenities and requirements before you buy can save time and expense.
